Terms and Conditions
Last updated October 2026. These terms apply to every Wrap World project. By placing an order or approving a proof, you agree to them. Questions? Call 678-818-1150 or email sales@wrapworld.com.
1. Our process
Getting started
- New design: a $699 design deposit is required to begin artwork. It includes your first concept plus 3 rounds of revisions. Additional artwork time is $100 per hour, and we will let you know before any extra time is billed.
- Print-ready files from you or your designer: a $150 setup fee is required. We check your files, size them to your vehicle and send proofs for approval.
- Lettering-only projects have a 2-vehicle minimum.
- A Wrap World team member will contact you within 1 to 2 business days of your order with your quote and to answer any questions. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
Creative brief
The creative brief is the blueprint for your project. It tells us what information you want on the wrap and what style you like, so everyone works toward the same goal. Please include:
- Photos of all 4 sides of each vehicle to be wrapped
- Your logo file(s), preferably in vector format
- Inspiration: examples of designs you like
- Your colors (Pantone colors if you have them). Brand consistency matters.
Proofs and revisions
Once we have everything we need, our design team gets started. We start with the side profile of the vehicle and move on to the front and rear once the side is approved or close to approval. First concepts take 3 to 5 business days, and revisions are typically posted within 1 business day of receiving your feedback.
We manage every project in Proofer, our online proofing system. Your proofs arrive by email with a link. From the proof page, you can approve your design or request changes and tell us what to adjust. Each new version comes back the same way, and every proof for your order stays in one place. When we are close to the final design, we can schedule a video call to make final updates if needed.
If you don't love a design, tell us specifically what you like, what you don't, colors, layout and examples of wraps you love. The more specific your feedback, the faster we get it right.
Approval and payment
- Nothing prints until you approve your final proofs.
- The remaining balance is due when you approve your proofs. Payment confirms your install dates and releases your graphics to print.
- If you asked to approve a printed color sample before production, colors must be approved before install dates are confirmed. If we are matching physical marketing materials, please bring or mail them to us as early as possible.
Installation
Your wrap is installed by our in-house installers at our Flowery Branch facility, and most vehicles are back on the road in 1 to 3 days, depending on the size of the vehicle and how much is covered. We can also ship your printed wrap, ready to install, to the installer of your choice.
2. Vehicle condition and preparation
- Paint condition: vinyl adhesive is designed to bond to original factory paint in good condition. Your vehicle must be free of oxidation, peeling clear coat, rust and body damage. You confirm the condition of your paint when you place your order.
- Vinyl only adheres well to catalyzed vehicle paint, watercraft gelcoat and glass. Poor paint or clear coat, rubber, plastic, chrome and chrome substitutes will not hold adhesive properly, and reduced vinyl performance in these areas is expected.
- Wrap World disclaims all warranties on vehicles that do not have original factory (OEM) paint, and on vehicles with OEM paint more than 6 years old.
- Removing vinyl from blemish-free factory paint within its rated removal period will not damage the paint. Removing vinyl from older, rusted, damaged, scratched, dented, repaired or repainted vehicles, and from aluminum panels such as those on trailers and box trucks, can occasionally cause paint to flake or peel.
- Drop off your vehicle at our facility at least 1 business day before your install begins, before 3pm, so it can be washed, dried and brought to the right temperature. Please remove all valuables. Wrap World is not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
- Wash your vehicle with soap, water and a brush within 24 hours of drop-off. Do not use wax or shine products. If you would like us to wash it, our wash service is $100 for standard size vehicles and must be arranged with your rep ahead of time.
- Previous decals and adhesive must be removed before installation. Additional decal or adhesive removal, or excessive cleaning, will incur additional costs. Any rust or oxidation must be repaired before installation.
- Our installers remove emblems and badges before install. They are usually not reusable after removal. Let us know at or before drop-off if you would like us to keep them for you.
3. What to expect from a wrap
A wrap is a large-format printed vinyl graphic applied to your vehicle by trained installers. It is a mobile advertisement that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- A wrap is not paint. Paint is applied as a liquid and covers every surface; vinyl is a solid sheet with limits on how far it can stretch. If you expect a wrap to cover and perform exactly like paint, a wrap is not for you.
- Our installers remove obstacles like mirrors, moldings, emblems and door handles when they can be removed quickly. Anything that can't is wrapped around as neatly as possible, which can mean seams and relief cuts.
- Vinyl comes in 52-inch-wide rolls, so there will be overlapping seams of about 1 inch where panels meet. On designs with many matching points, alignment across complex curves can vary, and a 5% margin is considered acceptable on large outdoor graphics.
- Small areas of the original paint color may show around door handles, light edges, mirrors, bumpers and tight curves. Areas under door handles, mirrors, behind gas caps and inside door frames are not wrapped.
- Our goal is a paint-like finish, but occasional small bubbles or slight wrinkles in curved or difficult areas are normal. Over time, some lifting or shrinking at edges and difficult areas may occur.
- Wrap World may slightly adjust artwork during final design prep, printing and installation to fit compound curves and difficult areas.
- Proofs are viewed flat and small on screens. The finished wrap on a 3-dimensional vehicle can vary from the proof by several inches across its length.
4. Warranty and durability
Durability vs. warranty
Durability is the manufacturer's rating for how long a finished graphic performs without excessive discoloration, cracking, blistering, gloss change, shrinking or loss of adhesion. The 10-year ratings you may hear about apply to unprinted vinyl. Once your design is printed and laminated:
- Vertical surfaces (the sides of your vehicle) are rated for about 4 to 5 years.
- Non-vertical surfaces (slanted areas) last about 20% less than vertical surfaces.
- Horizontal surfaces (roofs and hoods) carry no durability rating because of heavy sun and weather exposure. They are always the first part to age.
Box trucks and trailers have clear-cut vertical sides. On cars, vans and pickups, most panels combine vertical, slanted and horizontal areas, so damage to a horizontal portion usually means replacing the whole panel.
Manufacturer warranty
All products are warranted by their manufacturer. The manufacturer's warranty covers defects in the material itself, such as manufacturing, printing or cutting defects. It covers defects in the product, not how long it will last. Copies of manufacturer warranties are available on request by email.
Wrap World 1-year warranty
Wrap World stands behind installs performed at our facility by our in-house installers with a 1-year warranty covering peeling, bubbling and other installation-related problems. If anything is going to fail, it usually happens early, within the first year.
Shipped wraps: if you are receiving a shipped wrap to be installed by someone else, the Wrap World installation warranty does not apply. We recommend asking your installer of choice about their installation warranty. Material defects are still covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
- After installation, the wrap sets over the next 72 hours, when installation issues usually show up. Bring any concern to us right away so it can be fixed while it is still repairable. Issues left unreported for a month or more are considered neglect, and repairs will be your responsibility.
- Report concerns in writing (email is fine) with photos of the areas in question, and our installers will review them for repair options.
- We will make up to 3 agreed appointments for repairs. A third appointment after a cancellation or no-show incurs a $100 charge, and after 3 missed appointments we may refuse further service.
- Our installer may seal, patch or replace the vinyl. Wrap World determines whether vinyl needs to be replaced, patched or sealed, as long as it looks satisfactory from a 6-foot viewing distance, and whether a problem is due to material failure, natural causes, installation or customer abuse. Customer abuse or natural causes are the customer's responsibility.
- Wrap World is not responsible for neglect or abuse of the wrap.
How long can I expect my wrap to last?
Plan to remove or replace your wrap after about 5 years, or when you notice cracking or brown spotting, whichever comes first. In our 20+ years in business, wrap life comes down to three things: how well you care for the wrap, where the vehicle is stored at night, and the laminate used.
- Gloss is our standard. It is easier to clean, keeps its appearance longer and ages better. Our standard premium UV gloss laminate adds protection to all surfaces, including horizontal ones. Ask your rep about laminate upgrades for extra horizontal durability.
- Matte and satin look incredible but have a shorter lifespan, about 2 years on horizontal surfaces unless the vehicle is garaged. Matte, especially matte white, stains more easily and shows fingerprints, so it needs more frequent cleaning.
5. Caring for your wrap
- Wash every 1 to 2 weeks. Contaminants left on the wrap can stain and become harder to remove.
- Hand wash with a soft, clean sponge or non-abrasive cloth and a mild soap, rinse with clean water, and dry with a silicone squeegee and microfiber cloth.
- Touchless car washes are OK. Pressure washers can lift edges and damage perforated window graphics, so keep the nozzle at least 12 inches away and never aim at edges or seams.
- Store your vehicle in a garage or shade when possible, and wash off sap, bird droppings and fuel as soon as you can. If the wrap starts to discolor or turn brown, have it professionally removed right away to avoid staining the paint.
- Never use an ice scraper or rear wiper on or near window graphics.
6. Print and color
- Printing will not always look exactly like paint. Occasional faint lines (banding) from the print head are normal, though we work hard to eliminate them.
- Colors look different indoors and outdoors, and digital printing cannot reproduce every color exactly. We get as close as possible to your target colors. To check colors, order our color match kit and look at it outside in sunlight.
- Colors can shift slightly from print to print and project to project. If color is critical, tell us in writing that you want to approve a printed sample before final printing.
- By approving your final proof, you approve all colors, spelling, text and layout. There are no refunds or reprints for color once a proof is approved.
7. Artwork
- Ownership: artwork created by Wrap World remains the property of Wrap World until your project is paid in full. Once it is, you own your approved design and can use it on other vehicles, signs, shirts and more. We keep production files on record so reorders and fleet vehicles match. Editable source files are available on request for a fee.
- Checking your proof: make sure the vehicle on your proof matches the vehicle being wrapped (lights, license plate position, number of doors, bed length, windows, body kits, moldings, aftermarket items and accessories). If there is a difference, tell us. If we are not notified and the wrap doesn't fit as desired, you are responsible for new prints, installation and removal of the affected areas.
- Vehicle templates have a margin of error of a few percent. Keep vital information away from the extreme edges of the wrap.
- Customer-supplied artwork must be print-ready, complete and high resolution, sized to the actual vehicle, with a color proof and any Pantone references. We will not modify the color or design unless you ask in writing (email is fine). Wrap World is not responsible for layouts supplied by the customer or for low-resolution images, and cannot guarantee the quality of artwork not set up by Wrap World. Changes to customer-supplied art are $100 per hour.
- If a third-party designer is involved, Wrap World may advise them free of charge as long as Wrap World prints and installs the project. This does not make Wrap World responsible for their errors.
- You are responsible for having permission to use any copyrighted or trademarked material you supply.
- Wrap World may use photos of completed work and refer to clients in our portfolio and marketing materials.
8. Scheduling, cancellation and fees
- You can change your install date up to 72 hours before installation (measured from 9am on your install date). Changes within 72 hours, or a no-show, incur a kill fee of $200 or 10% of your total invoice, whichever is greater, and you will be rescheduled to our next available date. Your install days are blocked off for you alone, and our team is still paid when a vehicle doesn't arrive.
- Late arrival on install day is charged at $100 per hour late, or may require rescheduling with a kill fee. A dirty vehicle dropped off after 3pm may result in rescheduling or a late fee (wash fee plus 1 hour late fee).
- If we install at a location you choose, it must be indoors, clean, dust-free and temperature controlled, with power, good lighting and at least 5 feet of working space around the vehicle. If our senior installer decides the conditions are not suitable, the vehicle must come to our facility and a rescheduling fee may apply.
9. Payments, refunds and disputes
- Design deposits and setup fees are non-refundable. If you decide to stop an in-progress project, deposits already paid are forfeited.
- Vehicle wraps and graphics are custom-made and cannot be refunded, returned or resold once printed. If you cancel after production has begun, Wrap World keeps the design fees and full payment for production and material costs incurred.
- Cards used for payment may be kept on file and used as a payment method for your project.
- If you have a concern about your project, contact Wrap World in writing before any chargeback or credit card dispute, and give us 30 days to correct and resolve it. If a chargeback is decided in Wrap World's favor, you are responsible for associated legal fees and research time.
- Wrap World is not responsible for consequential damages or loss of any kind resulting from the sale, installation or delivery of our products. Wraps are installed with industry-standard tools, including knives, heat guns and torches, and Wrap World is not responsible for damage that may occur while using them. If we are asked to cover existing vinyl decals, we are not liable for damage to those decals during installation or removal.
10. Agreement
These terms are the entire agreement between you and Wrap World, LLC and replace all prior proposals and communications about your project. They may only be changed in writing by authorized representatives of both parties. Terms on a customer's own order form that conflict with these terms are not binding on Wrap World. Anything not covered here is governed by established trade customs.
By checking "I agree" when you order, approving a proof, or accepting our proposal, you confirm that you have read, understand and accept these terms, including our prices, fees, use of images, color matching criteria and specifications, and you authorize Wrap World to perform the work as specified.
